BNP Leader Rizvi Blames India for Having a Conspiracy Towards Bangladesh and indicates Concerns About the Government’s Failure to Arrest Awami League Cadres.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has expressed deep concerns regarding the government’s inability to arrest Awami League cadres responsible for shooting students during mass protests. Rizvi highlighted the deaths of students such as Abu Sayed and Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho and criticized the government’s failure to bring those responsible to justice. He warned that the lack of accountability could lead to more destructive acts by the people.
Rizvi also criticised the Indian government’s stance on Bangladesh, claiming that influential Awami League leaders who fled to India after the protests faced no obstacles, while ordinary Bangladeshi citizens require visas to visit. He referred to the case of BNP leader Salauddin Ahmed, who was allegedly illegally dropped in India after disappearing for two months.
The BNP leader also took issue with India’s media, accusing it of spreading false propaganda about Bangladesh’s communal harmony during the Durga Puja celebrations. He suggested that Indian policymakers were too closely aligned with Sheikh Hasina’s government, neglecting the people of Bangladesh’s democratic values and sovereignty.
The statements were made during Rizvi’s visit to Ziaur Rahman’s grave, where he paid tribute alongside MA Malek, the president of the UK chapter of the BNP, who had returned to Bangladesh after 19 years.
