Bangladesh’s Dulal Mahmud wins Legend of AIPS Asia award
6 of the most ‘senior and respected’ sports journalists from across Asia were honored with the award, recognizing their ‘outstanding’ contributions to sports journalism and their ‘unwavering’ commitment to the profession
Senior sports journalist Dulal Mahmud, the editor of national sports fortnightly Krira Jagat, has won the Legend of AIPS Asia award Friday.
The prestigious award was given during the International Sports Press Association’s Asia Congress in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Six of the most “senior and respected” sports journalists from across Asia were honored with the award, recognizing their “outstanding” contributions to sports journalism and their “unwavering” commitment to the profession.
The other five countries are Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Malaysia, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
Dulal has been the Krira Jagat (Sports World) editor for around two and a half decades.
Dulal is also an expert on Bangladesh’s sports history.
He wrote more than a dozen books, especially on sports.
